چکیده

This paper gives a new solution to the output feedback H2 model matching problem for a large class of delayed information sharing patterns. Existing methods for such problems typically reduce the decentralized problem to a centralized problem of higher state dimension. In contrast, the controller given in this paper is constructed from the solutions to the centralized control and estimation Riccati equations for the original system. The problem is solved by decomposing the controller into two components. One is centralized, but delayed, while the other is decentralized with finite impulse response (FIR). It is then shown that the optimal controller can be constructed through a combination of centralized spectral factorization and quadratic programming.

Model Matching for Decentralized Systems with Delays

This paper gives a new solution to the output feedback H2 model matching problem for a large class of delayed information sharing patterns. Existing methods for similar problems typically reduce the decentralized problem to a centralized problem of higher state dimension. In contrast, this paper demonstrates that the decentralized model matching solution can be constructed from the original cen...

Eigenvalue Assignment Of Discrete-Time Linear Systems With State And Input Time-Delays

Time-delays are important components of many dynamical systems that describe coupling or interconnection between dynamics, propagation or transport phenomena, and heredity and competition in population dynamics. The stabilization with time delay in observation or control represents difficult mathematical challenges in the control of distributed parameter systems. It is well-known that the stabi...

Decentralized Model Reference Adaptive Control of Large Scale Interconnected Systems with Time-Delays in States and Inputs

This paper investigates the problem of decentralized model reference adaptive control (MRAC) for a class of large scale systems with time varying delays in interconnected terms and state and input delays. The upper bounds of the interconnection terms are considered to be unknown. Time varying delays in the nonlinear interconnection terms are bounded and nonnegative continuous functions and thei...

A dual problem in ℌ2 decentralized control subject to delays

It has been shown that the decentralized H2 model matching problem subject to delay can be solved by decomposing the controller into a centralized, but delayed, component and a decentralized FIR component, the latter of which can be solved for via a linearly constrained quadratic program. In this paper, we derive the dual to this optimization problem, show that strong duality holds, and exploit...

A heuristic for sub-optimal ℌ2 decentralized control subject to delay in non-quadratically-invariant systems

Inspired by potential applications to the smart grid, we develop a heuristic for sub-optimal, but acceptable, control of decentralized systems subject to non-quadratically invariant (non-QI) delay patterns. We do so by exploiting a recently developed solution to the decentralized H2 model matching problem subject to delays, which decomposes the controller into a centralized, but delayed, compon...
